Hi, Unification “SFB-BG07″ finished with the procedure for the selection of the stipednianti 29.10.2015 and forward it for approval to the Ministry of health. As soon as the procedure is approved by the Ministry, all applicants will be notified of the results of the contest!

 

 

The deadline for applying for the scholarship program for students, PhDs and post-graduate students of Roma origin, training in medical specialties for the academic 2015/2016 is extended to 9 October 2015!

 

 

Competition for the selection of mentors in a scholarship program for students, PhDs and post-graduate students of Roma origin, studing in medical specialties

 

 

With regards to the implementation of the component "Mentoring" of the scholarship programme for students, PhDs and post-graduate students of Roma origin, studing in medical specialties, Consortium "SFB-BG 07" launches competition for the selection of mentors. The Small grant scheme is part of the activities envisaged for the implementation of Outcome 4 "Specific challenges to the health of the Roma population" Program BG 07 "Public Health Initiatives", financed by the EEA Financial Mechanism and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2009-2014 year“

Candidates must:

  • Be university professors in accredited by the Ministry of Education, and Science, medical colleges or universities;
  • Have a positive attitude towards solving the problems of the Roma community;
  • Have the desire and motivation to help students, PhD and post-graduate students in their theoretical and practical medical training;
  • Have good communication skills;
  • Have sent, within the deadlines electronically, full application.

 

Application documents

Candidates for mentors must submit within the time limits laid down by electronic means, full application including:

  • Application form for participation in the program;
  • Autobiography;
  • A copy of the documents (if there are any), certifying publications in scientific and other specialized issues, participation in conferences, participation in mentoring programs or other relevant documents, that would support their application.

Stipendiantskata program is part of the realisation of the Score 4 "Specific challenges to the health of the Roma population" Program BG 07 "Public Health Initiatives", financed by the EEA Financial Mechanism and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2009-2014 year“

Stipendiantskata program represents the provision of financial support to students, PhDs and post-graduate students of Roma origin, in medical specialties in accredited universities or colleges in Bulgaria. The financial support includes continuous mentorship during studies, participation in summer /advocacy training camp, tuition fees and scholarship for students, PhDs and post-graduate students.

Candidates must:

  • To declare openly their Roma origin;
  • To declare, that they agree to publicly announce their Roma origin;
  • To train or be accepted for students, PhD or post-graduate students in an accredited higher education institution in Bulgaria;
  • To train the program to obtain a Bachelor's, Masters or PhD degree in a medical specialty;
  • To declare, that they do NOT receive academic scholarships from other organisations for the corresponding academic year;
  • Have sent, within the deadlines electronically, full application.

Information about the program

The scheme provides financial support to students, PhDs and post-graduate students of Roma origin, in medical specialties in accredited universities or colleges in Bulgaria. The financial support includes continuous mentorship during studies, participation in summer /advocacy training camp, tuition fees and scholarship for students, PhDs and post-graduate students.

Candidates must:

 Declare, that they agree to publicly announce their Roma origin;

 Study or have been accepted at University as students, PhD or post-graduate students in an accredited higher education institution in Bulgaria;

 Study in a programme for obtaining a Bachelor, Masters or PhD degree in a medical specialty;

 Declare, that they do NOT receive academic scholarships from other organisations for the corresponding academic year;

 Have sent, within the deadlines electronically, full application.

For the academic 2014/2015 year priority will be given to applications of teachers from the following universities and colleges:

  • MU Sofia, Branch Vratsa;
  • MK Jordanka Filaretova;
  • MU Varna;
  • MU Varna, Branch Sliven;
  • Trakia University, Medical Faculty;
  • Trakia University, Branch Haskovo;
  • MU Pleven.
